Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for using the Butt-Dial communication platform. It applies to all users, regardless of edition.

2. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

2.1 Unsolicited Communications

  • Send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or automated calls without proper consent
  • Send messages to numbers on Do Not Call lists
  • Make robocalls without TCPA-compliant consent
  • Send commercial emails without CAN-SPAM compliant unsubscribe mechanisms

2.2 Harmful Content

  • Transmit threats, harassment, hate speech, or abusive content
  • Distribute malware, phishing attempts, or fraudulent communications
  • Impersonate individuals, organizations, or government entities
  • Send deceptive messages designed to mislead recipients

2.3 Illegal Activities

  • Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law
  • Infringe intellectual property rights
  • Facilitate financial fraud, identity theft, or money laundering
  • Circumvent telecommunications regulations

2.4 AI-Specific Prohibitions

  • Make AI-generated voice calls without disclosing they are AI-generated
  • Program AI agents to deny being AI when asked directly
  • Use AI agents to impersonate specific real individuals
  • Disable AI disclosure features without implementing equivalent disclosure
  • Use AI to generate calls that circumvent robocall regulations

2.5 System Abuse

  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, spending caps, or security controls
  • Use the Service to attack, probe, or exploit other systems
  • Share API tokens or security credentials with unauthorized parties
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract proprietary components

3. AI Agent Conduct

AI agents operating through the Service must:

  • Identify as AI: When asked directly, AI agents must truthfully disclose that they are AI assistants, not humans
  • Not impersonate humans: AI agents must not claim to be a specific real person or pretend to be human
  • Respect termination requests: When a caller asks the AI to stop or end the call, the AI must comply promptly
  • Stay within scope: AI agents must not provide legal, medical, or financial advice unless specifically designed and authorized for that purpose
  • Maintain caller ID accuracy: All calls must display accurate caller ID information

4. Content Standards

All communications sent through the Service must:

  • Clearly identify the sender
  • Include accurate caller ID / sender information
  • Respect opt-out requests immediately
  • Comply with applicable content regulations

5. Rate Limits and Fair Use

The Service enforces per-agent rate limits and spending caps. Attempts to circumvent these controls violate this AUP. Limits exist to prevent abuse and ensure fair access for all users.

6. Monitoring and Enforcement

We monitor system usage patterns (not message content) to detect abuse. We may:

  • Temporarily suspend accounts suspected of violations
  • Permanently terminate accounts for confirmed violations
  • Report illegal activity to appropriate authorities
  • Cooperate with law enforcement investigations

7. Reporting Violations

Report suspected AUP violations to abuse@95percent.ai.
